As the 16th century came to a close the groundwork for modern astronomy was being laid by the Dane Tycho Brahe. Improving upon existing astronomical equipment through instrument design and calibration Tycho was able to achieve observations far more accurate than any previous ones. Able to correct for atmospheric aberrations Tycho plotted the stars and planets with great accuracy providing Johannes Kepler with the information he needed to plot the orbits of the planets accurately. By challenging the views of his contemporaries Tycho Brahe ushered in a new era of astronomy.Zhumell has introduced the Tycho 254 in the same spirit of expanding the horizons of astronomy. The Tycho 254 features a 254mm objective mirror providing the light you need to explore our solar system. The Newtonian reflector design does not suffer from the chromatic aberration present in other telescope designs. A 1600mm focal length allows you to achieve useful magnification up to 600x. Excellent for viewing nebulae binary stars and comets due to the large objective size the Tycho 254 is also well-suited for general observation of planets and the moon. For those inclined to chronicle their stellar observations the F/6.3 focal ratio allows for excellent photographic use of the telescope. With the Tycho and your keen eye perhaps you will be the next to revolutionize the galaxy of astronomical knowledge.
